• I would make as many people dependent on me as possible

• I would define poverty in such away as to allow welfare to a massive amount of the population
• Welfare would be designed as to make the recipient comfortable in their poverty
• I would make it difficult for others to offer help, this could be done by making it difficult for charities to operate, by desensitizing the population or by taxing them so much that they lack funds to support charity
• I would do my best to separate my government from mainstream religions as they are a threat to my power and my welfare programs
• I would push to make the bulk of the population to dependent upon me for food, medicine and housing
• I would setup a class-war situation so that those who depend upon me for their livelihood would fight those who would rather have a population of free thinking, independent people
  • I would make sure that as many working people as possible were forced into Unions controlled by people who were in my pocket.  These unions would exist under the guise that they are there to save the working class from their evil employers this will effectively keep the workers quiet or even radicalize them. They will vote for me out of fear for their livelihoods
  • I would push to tax the rich as much as possible out of a guise of “fairness”. This of course will mean that they will have less money to spend on creating new wealth, new jobs etc.  This will drive more of the masses into dependency in my programs.
  • I would even unionize teachers, if teachers can be radicalized, so will our children therefore our adults in a generation or two.
• I would work to destroy families and the sanctity of life and religion
  • The more we are seen as the authority figure in peoples’ lives, the more authority we can exercise
• I would proceed very slowly, over decades , slowly shifting the scale of what is acceptable to the people
  • Firearms can be limited and eventually outlawed, thereby disarming the people over time
  • Religion can be removed and morality replaced by what we decide to declare moral
  • If we need make a major societal change instantly it would lead to revolt, if we do it over decades they people may even come to help us achieve our ends

1. Elitist professor or media types who want nothing less than Stalin-like government and who make more money than many of the folks they are protesting against

2. Brainwashed students who probably make the bulk of the protestors (remember if left to their own devices they would eat ice-cream for breakfast and sleep till 4 p.m. their opinions are not well formed)….

3. Paid union thugs

If they are mad inequality they should build houses for the poor in protest or work a soup kitchen in protest. Stewing in your own filth on the street chanting mindless drivel is not going to win the hearts and minds of anyone who has either anytime soon.

Long Live Liberty

You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces [sic] that the rest of us paid for. You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory—and hire someone to protect against this—because of the work the rest of us did.

Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea. God bless—keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is, you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.”-E. Warren

Elizabeth Warren (Harvard professor, attorney and Senate candidate) recently  made the above comments which are being posted all over social media by left of center folks.  The basic premise of her statement is that we are all members of the same interconnected community, we all pay taxes to pay for roads, police etc. Therefore if one of us builds a factory and starts to make large amounts of money they then owe society a large portion of that income (since factory owners drive on public roads, are protected by the police etc.).  The other point she makes is that a chunk of that money made by the successful business man should go to the next entrepreneur  so they can have a chance to live the American dream.

Sounds reasonable. That is if you don’t believe in individual rights, accept a collectivist view of the world, promote class warfare and love momma government.

The factory owner makes a lot of money, a huge portion of which is directly taken from them for taxes. Another huge portion of which goes to workers (some of which is also taken for taxes). Those workers and the business man take that money and spend it in the community which provides work and income for others.   Each time cash is changing hands in this system a portion of it is taken out for taxes which go to pay for roads, cops etc.  The idea that the factory owner  is not paying his/her fair share is utterly ludicrous.

The whole fact that we have publicly funded roads, police, teachers etc. is potentially a problem  in itself but I won’t go there today; if we are to have these things they must be paid for.  The rich are not milk cows that we can tap into anytime we need some cash.  They are individuals who have a right to the products of their labor.  If they want to give 60% of their earnings away for charitable causes that is their own decision just like it is for those of us who live with more meager incomes.  A business man who pays a 2 million in income or other revenue related taxes each year (not to mention sales tax,  gas tax etc.) has more than payed for their fair share of road use, police protection etc.  in fact it may easily be argued that they are paying much much more than their fair share.

What if we took her ideas to their final conclusion… the public built the roads etc. etc. that the rich use to drive to their factory.  Those roads were built with wealth generated by employers.  T he government prints money, it doesn’t generate wealth so if we owe anyone anything, we owe the rich.

As for her last statement, nobody owes anyone anything.  Its sounds cruel to our liberalize ears, but truth is truth. The only thing we owe our neighbor is that we will not initiate force against them, and we our future generations the courtesy of not crippling them with debt.  Most any rich business person would see it as a financial advantage to help employees rise through the ranks and learn the ropes and invent new ways of doing things. But being forced to  pay to give someone a “chance “  is nothing less than slavery.

Let me end with a quote by Ayn Rand: “It stands to reason that where there’s sacrifice, there’s someone collecting sacrificial offerings. Where there’s service, there’s someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice, speaks of slaves and masters. And intends to be the master.”

• Where I come from a lot of families still consist of a mom, a dad and their kids.
• When kids act up or disrespect their parents they are usually punished.
• A few of the guys I grew up with have gone to jail; I never saw any of them in Sunday school.
• Neighbors help each other and don’t steal from one another (unlike our national “community”)
• We are all armed to the teeth yet we never have shootouts.
• Farmers make moonshine and occasionally grow plants that are considered illegal but I’ve seen no gangsters or drug wars in my neighborhood
• Farmers can grow food, raise animals, fix equipment with their own tools… if things get bad you’d best know or be a farmer
• Farmers’ wives can often do most of the above things as well as can, sew, knit and keep their kids in line
• Country folk don’t have time to sit around and feel anger because some businessmen make more money than they do, if a farmer wanted to make millions of dollars, he’d move to the city. And he wouldn’t think it was right to pay most of it back to the government in taxes
• There are a lot of good farmers out there who are dirt poor and still refuse govt. subsidies
• It is a lot more fun to spend a day running around the yard, in the woods in the fields than playing video games all day
• We tell it like we see it.

Sara also works very hard, she only has one small oak tree from which to gather her acorns, she saves a few each year and buries them in the ground.

The council of forest friends asks each of the forest creatures to give acorns to the council each year so they can feed those squirrels who don’ t have many acorns and so the animals can have other forest programs.

Old Oscar owl has proposed a plan that would make Timmy and Sara share the burden equally, each of them would give 10% of their acorns to the council. That means if Timmy had 100 acorns he would give 10 to the council and if Sara had only ten acorns she would give just one to the council.

Meanwhile, Warren the weasel has a new plan. He wants Timmy the squirrel to give more and more of his acorns to the council and thinks that Sara shouldn’t have to give any acorns.

Well boys and girls which plan is fair, that of Oscar the Owl or Warren the Weasel?
